OK I know DU has a lot of Random People with Random Knowledge but do we have any Norwegians or Norway talkers here?

How do you pronounce the name of Norway's former P.M. who liked raping Epstein's girls. (allegedly) Thorbjorn Jagland?

Torn Bjorn (as in Bjorn Borg) Ya egg Lund???

😁

EDIT: To refine a little: Thorbjørn is more like “Tor-byurn.” The O-slash is pronounced differently from a regular O.

The U vowel in Norwegian is pronounced somewhat like the German ü. D at the end of a word is usually not pronounced, or is just glanced over. The long O in Thorbjørn is more of an oo sound, and ø is a sort of uh sound. Th is pronounced T.

‘UP-SHIT-CREEK’

Unlike the good ol’ U S of A, civilized societies hold their leaders accountable for the crimes they commit.

Anyhow, it's nice to see that some countries
really go harsh against pedophiles, as they
should.
