I haven't seen anything on US Navy clashes with the Iranian Navy

Seems like if Iran is trying to close the Strait they'd bump into our ships. Anybody hear anything else?

1. Iran is not stupid enough to try going ship to ship with the US Navy

They will use mines, land based missiles and small attack boats against traffic in the Strait

The Vantor images show a frigate burning at the Konarak naval base in southern Iran. A large billow of smoke can be seen rising from the wounded vessel.'

3. There's satellite images of a docked Iranian naval vessel on fire

with corresponding damage to the naval base. Looks like it was done from the air, though.

The Iranians haven't closed the strait through naval action. They have done so de facto by warning commercial vessels that the conditions would be dangerous.
