Kegseth is giving new meaning to the term "Mission Creep"
Mission Creep used to mean:
A gradual shift in objectives during the course of a military campaign, often resulting in an unplanned long-term commitment.
Now it just means Kegseth is one.

as his usual pumped-up self, but as in the old skit with Dana Carvey portraying the "Pump You Up' character with Kevin Nealy (Hanz & Franz), let Hegseth be told he's fired and DEFLATE all over. 
I would find that quite cathartic...
