I never made that much in my life but at one time I had a nice home and a new car and enough spending money to enjoy them both.
Of course that was before Dubya was anointed resident.

But then again why can't he? I don't know what his utilities cost, do you? How much is gas? Does it cost much to heat or cool his house?

Don't get me wrong.
It's just that I do not see how $16/hr qualifies anyone for a home (if they meant purchase) and a new car would be very iffy.
