of dyslexia is that you are way smarter than your ability to phonologically process language is. Visual thinkers. Visionaries. I would add Theodore Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and many other politicians.
SPOILER ALERT: Dyslexia has no connection to intelligence. Some famous people with dyslexia are:

(35,023 posts)It has to do with directionality issues.
My brain reverses direction, so you can
imagine all the extra walking and driving
I've done over the years.
It doesn't affect my reading at all, nor
cursive writing.
However, when printing, I will reverse
the b and the d occasionally.
Que sera sera.

She then told me to Blink and I didn't blink.

(13,258 posts)I had no idea this was a form of dyslexia.
My partner (may he RIP) used to joke that he always knew where our car was parked -- just go the opposite way from where I start heading. He also got good at giving directions like this "Go left up there." (as I change lanes to the right) "No, your other left."
When I was small, my sister tried to teach me right from left. She got frustrated and marked up my hands to "help out."
Many years ago, my mom came across the diagnosis "Clumsy Child Syndrome" and of course sent it along to me. To her it explained a lot.
That's me too. You should have seen me at LBJ
and LASA high schools where I used to sub after
retirement.
LBJ was on the first floor, and LASA was on the
second floor, but they were shaped the same way...
like a triangular beehive.
The walls of each triangle were painted different
colors: gold, purple, and another color. It didn't
help. I got a lot of exercise there, lol.
I've always been a bit clumsly and uncoordinated too.
I never could do cartwheels, either.

(13,258 posts)... I made the mistake of signing up for a class. Once with an audience of other people was enough. Tried with videos at home. Just thinking about my earnest attempts makes me chuckle.

(35,023 posts)Both my legs turn the same way, for example;
and the bones on each side grew differently.
It could account for directionality issues too.
Maybe you're one too.
