Four key allies are growing wary of the United States and disruption from President Donald Trump appears to be to blame, according to a new poll.
Results from the poll from Politico, released Sunday, found that a growing portion of the public in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom increasingly believe that China is a more dependable partner than the United States.
The poll, however, revealed that movement toward China appears to be driven by Trumps policies, and not stability of the geopolitical rival.
According to the poll, the majority of respondents in both Canada and Germany believe that the United States has become harder to depend on while 38% in France and 42% in the United Kingdom said the same.

The US is falling.
It is just as well, the US no longer deserves to be a world leader.
The values of greed, corruption, hatred, racism, violence, dictatorship
are not worthy of global admiration or support.

(14,670 posts)Biden had the economy surging back to health after COVID. FOX Business network was choking on the figures.
Trump single handedly, turned away a ton of business. And forced his traditional allies to turn to China, and in so doing, helping them to have a new surge.
China is a corrupt, dictatorial, human rights abusing, closed system. But one of the aspects of that is that they are stable, and predictable. The USA is not. *Trump is not.

(10,971 posts)Plus a months worth of rice for every person in Cuba as Trump is into starving the little children. We are so screwed as how the world looks at us because we have an evil psychopath as our president. Even Jeffrey Epstein said Trump was one of the most evil people he ever met - called him Borderline.
In the midst of the current energy crisis in #Cuba, the installation of 5,000 solar systems donated by the People's Republic of China is underway across the country.

(19,641 posts)with our system, any election cycle could bring a normal person or a psychopath and the flaw in our system is that the "rules" have no enforcement mechanism.
I mean, this giant orange turd has been able to do pretty much anything he chooses and he does whatever he pleases like a monkey flinging feces (but with a lot less thought than that).

Obviously, just about everyone I talk to hates Trump, and feels that the USA has become unreliable under his regime. But they also maintain a deeply seated mistrust of China, and since their leaders tend to be dictators for life with an unambiguous ambition toward taking Taiwan and ultimate (long-term) world domination, the Europeans know that if we end up with poor leadership (Cheney, Trump, e.g.), it is temporary (Bannon notwithstanding). The EU loved Clinton, Obama and Biden. There has been no Chineseor Russianleader about whom they felt that way in the last 40 years.
