CA teens drug parents to use Internet(Not much different from the CO students pot laced brownies)

ROCKLIN, Calif. (AP) — Police say two California teenagers used prescription sleeping medication to drug the milkshakes of their parents so they could use the Internet.

The parents called police, and the 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old friend were taken to Juvenile Hall in California.

The Sacramento Bee reports the girls offered to pick up milkshakes at a fast-food restaurant for the parents of one of the girls Friday.

The drug was mixed into the shakes, and the couple fell asleep. The suspicious parents picked up a drug test kit the following day.

The girls told investigators they wanted to use the Internet, which the parents shut down daily at 10 p.m.

I expect posters will be eager to post that this kind of act will lead to calls for prescription sleeping pills to be banned, right? It only follows the logic in this thread:

at anyone who'd use this as a way to undo progress on legalization you spent a lot of energy/time arguing that drugging people with pot really was ultimately harmless.

Let me tell you plainly, not everyone can take mind-altering drugs and walk away unscathed. There is a small percentage of people in whom it will trigger incredible psychological pain. It worsens paranoia and schizophrenia.
