Shit wages that have stagnated for decades

Mandated for-profit insurance payments

A laughable minimum wage

Our safety net programs under attack

But let's laugh it up and have a good time!

And little things like this are tradition for incoming freshmen. As are photos. And setting up their offices.

Yes, the problems you list are huge and should not be disregarded for "a good time." But this is not just some mindless joke. It serves a purpose--as purpose that supports a solution to those problems. By shaming the Tea Party and making it clear it/they are a joke, we help create a receptive atmosphere for our message. Yes, times suck. But we don't need to make them suck even more by being humorless. Humor lifts our spirits and gives us energy, while eviscerating the object of the joke. That is why people say "humor is the best weapon."

If it helps relieve the tension on our side from dealing with the asshats, I am okay with it.

Just not sure PUKES can be shamed. IMHO they have no sense of it or a conscience.

I remember when Joe Walsh, one-term teabagger representative compained about not getting his healthcare soon after he won back in 2010. Good riddance to that deadbeat (and hello to Tammy Duckworth!)

... this is cause to cry, not laugh. See no humor in it. It just rubs salt in our own wounds of repugnant reality. Now, I don't mind all the rest of you getting a laugh. We need to get our laughs where ever we can find them, and often. Luv to all...

Humor with a purpose. The best.

Plus, any public humiliation of pukes is good.

Tar and feathers on a rail out of town would also be nice.
