The Senate Bill (S. 2592) was introduced July 31, 2025, by Sen. Ben Cardin. It has not received a committee vote or floor consideration.

Yes, there are road blocks to overcome, not the least of which would be a veto.

However, legislation that declares support for Ukraine as the moral imperative it is, is a step in the right direction.

Even if the amount to be provided in support falls woefully short, it is a step that is important. It is a statement that the good will of the American people can only be silenced for so long by a psychopath with no morals or values.

I had hope this would not happen and was sickened when Putin attacked, unprovoked. This war has its ups and downs for Ukraine but they’ve persevered and used their ingenuity and courage to literally pick thru the scraps to defend themselves. That this administration has mocked and disrespected President Z, only makes me support them more. I don’t understand the logic behind pulling our support for them, then turn it back on and it must be maddening for Ukraine but also very leery of our commitment. All the equipment and weapons we’ve used against Iran could have gone to a real cause for Ukraine 🇺🇦

Thanks for letting me vent..

... just think of the extent to which we would have enhanced our own military readiness.

The thing is, Ukrainian's amazing innovations in the largest land war in Europe since WWII have completely changed the face of modern warfare.

Meanwhile, under the felon, we're stuck in a kind of stone age with a caveman Secretary of Defense. We haven't merely failed in our legal and moral obligations to protect Ukraine (and thereby protect NATO allies), we have failed to partner on critical advances. Worse, we've ignored those advances while a preening man-baby blathers on about making the military more "masculine."

WE would ALL be safer today if we had continued to invest in and partner with Ukraine in its battle against Russia's aggression and atrocities.

The Senate version, the Supporting Ukraine Act of 2025 (S.2592) has been languishing after being referred to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

Call your Senators.

Call members of the Committee on Foreign Relations, even if you aren't a constituent. Just make it clear you are calling them in their capacity as a member of the committee.

And hammer Chair Risch. Now that the House has acted, it it time for them to vote their version out and put it to a floor vote.

This is about the United States putting itself on the right side of history again. It's a commitment to defend Ukraine in the largest land war in Europe since WWII. If Ukraine falls, NATO nations WILL be the next targets of Russian aggression and horrific violations of human rights.

The Senate version, the Supporting Ukraine Act of 2025 (S.2592) has been languishing after being referred to the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.

Call your Senators. Encourage others to do the same!

Call members of the Committee on Foreign Relations (listed below), even if you aren't a constituent. Just make it clear you are calling them in their capacity as a member of the committee.

We need to hammer Chair Risch.

We'll cross the veto bridge when we get there.
