Russia better negotiate with Ukraine. Ukraine is not kidding anymore.

Ukraine has reportedly destroyed a factory in Voronezh, Russia. The Semiconductor Devices Plant produces components used in air-defense systems and ballistic and cruise missiles, which are basically the only weapons Russia is currently manufacturing.

With grit, determination and passion. Time to close this chapter out even if other countries can help with the wrapping. Glory to Ukraine 🇺🇦

15-20% of Russia’s refining capacity has been knocked out. There is a real danger Putin will escalate and attack Europe.

Russia in the last week. No doubt they have help from Russians themselves telling them where the most important assets are. Giving them GPS coordinates. Or spies. Or something like that.

Spiderweb last June, I would say. They make good use of every resource and piece of information they get, including from ruzzians who talk freely on their cellphones.

It makes me sick to think of all the lives and time lost when Ukraine's allies demanded that Ukraine seek permission before carrying out military operations.

Putin: what would it take to get you to stop precision attacks on Russian installations and warships?

Zelenskyy: Stop bombing my country and give us back the Ukrainian territory you are currently occupying, and the children you abducted.

Putin: Nyet.

Zelenskyy: So long. Watch your bodyguards and stay away from tenth floor windows.

If one guy says get out of my country and the other guy says no, there isn't much to talk about.

I remember Anwar Sadat of Egypt saying in 1979 how difficult it was to negotiate peace with Menachem Begin of Israel. Sadat said that he could negotiate with someone who says "I need this land for my security." He could NOT negotiate with someone who says, "This is my land. God gave it to me." As an Arab head of state with smarts and common sense, Sadat was not long for this world, and religious nuts killed him two years later.

Regular barrages of hundreds of ballistic missiles, glide bombs, and drones are devastating Ukrainian cities in the Donbas. NYT has an article on it today. The difference being Russia is hitting civilian targets.

Putin is turning eastern Ukraine into a moonscape.

Hasn't been for a long time. It still has nukes, but fails at real warfare where people and machines have to face each other.

It can't cope with drones coming from Ukraine. No defenses at all against that.

It tried to invade Ukraine. All it got was a bunch of dead soldiers and not much progress.

It's running out of supplies, ammo, and transportation.

Ukraine is winning. Slava Ukraina!

From what I've read, warheads use a tritium trigger that's only good for 20 yr before it degrades. And those triggers aren't cheap.

Russian troops have infiltrated the strategic city of Kostyantynivka in eastern Ukraine and are now trying to surround it.

The entire city is now effectively in a "grey zone", no longer controlled by anyone, Ukrainian soldiers have told the BBC.

"They get into areas behind our backs and in urban conditions it's extremely difficult to push them out," says a Ukrainian drone pilot who operates in that area and prefers to remain anonymous.

Kostyantynivka is a gateway to the rest of the Donbas region.

If it falls, Russian forces would be able push towards Ukraine's last remaining strongholds in the east, the cities of Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, and move closer to seizing Donbas completely, one of the Kremlin's key objectives in this war.
