My "spidy sense" tells me this not a legit email from my ISP company (wide open west)

I got this email asking for the following information;

Wowway.com! ID:
Password:
Date of Birth:
Your Country or Territory:

Was I wrong to send "them" back information that I didn't trust "them."
This seems like phishing to me.

A pretty obvious phishing expedition, IMO. The Velveteen Ocelot Jan 2013 #1
Don't ever respond to a pfish. It confirms your email address for future such mailings. hlthe2b Jan 2013 #2

I checked the number on the internet and found several complaints about scam attempts. Then I called the number and told them I had reported them to the authorities and hung up.

I also called the fraud dept of my credit card to report this call even tho I had not given the caller any cc number. I wanted them to know that this one is "out there." They hadn't heard of it but were glad I called to alert them.
