So you think you know all about the 2nd amendment?

Here is a link to an article, on how and why the 2nd amendment was included in the
the US Constitution.

And, it has nothing to do with protecting the citizens from the tyranny of the government,
but allowing the States to maintain a militia to preserve slavery.

But my question is: Why is it written thusly--

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

...and not something like--

A well regulated militia, being necessary for the institution of slavery, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

... because the "United" was only an aspiration. Thus the language.
The 'free' states of the south wanted explicit wording to cover 'their' militias.
Other 'free' states sought similar rights (RI - freedom of religion).
NYC was happy if the local police were 'well regulated'.

Goes into detail about what "well-regulated" means, and also has a discussion about the chaos that would ensue if untrained people had guns.

Those guys where prophets!
