AP sources: Obama team to form agenda group

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama's political organization is forming an outside, nonprofit group to support the president's legislative agenda.

The unprecedented move gives Obama a way to promote his agenda outside the confines of the White House and seeks to harness the energy from his re-election campaign into support for legislation.

Democratic officials say the group, Organizing for Action, will be announced Friday. The nonprofit will work on key legislative battles, train future leaders and local issues around the country.

Obama campaign manager Jim Messina will be national chairman of the nonprofit, which will be separate from the Democratic National Committee.

Having a private propaganda arm of the executive branch is not a good thing.

But it is a natural development. Cut out the middle-man.

Not an outrage. Just another small step toward a grim horizon.

ours is the party that truly organizes from the bottom up. That is what OFA, in both incarnations, was about. This is Obama's legacy to us, one that can get our agenda through in the next 4 years, and can also help shape future leaders - not just from wealthy families but from all income levels.

And just like Romney couldn't do this, neither can the Rep Party, which has nothing left. No hope, no dreams, nothing but greed and cartoon-like cowboy characters left. They're fucking idiots.
