(1,735 posts)And he is so very proud of the $1800 he "gives" employees for their yearly healthcare costs. Now I figure that's about two months' premium for a family or about half hour in an emergency room. What a guy!

(63,912 posts)are more careful how you spend it" routine of the RW. As if employees are just looking for frivolous ways to spend their health care dollars! Insupportable, and mean spirited (shows you how much he cares about his employees).
AND, I wonder how well his older employees hold onto jobs at Whole Foods. I am betting that his 30 hour a week employees with high health care insurance deductibles are younger and stronger. Once they start to age out and get more expensive to insure, betcha they are routinely edged out...

(31,464 posts)...and he contributes $1,800 towards it. The $1,800 rolls over at year-end if it's not used. This is similar to my plan when I worked for the Dems...except it was a $2,500 deductible, and they contributed $2,000.

(20,185 posts)and the FAMILY deductible is $5000. If you have worked there 5 years they cover you AND your dependents AND your spouse/domestic partner. How many companies do that? Most offer family coverage but you have to pay for all of most of it. Yes, the $1800 accrues if you don't use it all up. You can also use it for certain alternative healthcare like hypnosis and acupuncture. When I was there the individual deductible was $2000. I left in 2010. My pay was very competitive.
