Any thoughts about storing luggage in DC on Monday?

We have seats for the swearing in ceremony, after which we're grabbing a train back to New York. I've been told the Union Station luggage facility will be closed for security, and we're not staying at an area hotel. Any suggestions?

Why schlepp stuff you don't have to. Just bring a little overnight bag.

Weigh the box and your stuff before the trip and print out a USPS postage label to mail it from DC to your home address. In the morning, put your stuff in the box, tape it up, tape on the label, and ask the hotel to put it in the outgoing mail. Or alternatively you could drop the box at a post office.

I know that's sketchy, but I've been in a city with no place to store my stuff, and I know that sucks.
