The American Dream at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
No matter your politics, our country has moved major steps forward from when we were founded.
We are a more perfect union.
Weve still got a long way to go.

(68,644 posts)Oh Damn, the RW haters are just going to triple their self-hatred, deep inside they know he and she are smarter and more sane than they are.
Poor things.

(7,318 posts)Some jurors, decisions are just inexplicable to me and those jurors also often don't explain why they decided the way they did.

(20,219 posts)And then there are people who I expect to think in a way I find offensive. Sorry to say it but they're out there.
I've made only a very few alerts, but I remember once or twice where I drew a " bad" jury.
Seems a bit better these days, though--fewer of the biiiig jerks.

This is a disgustingly misogynistic thing to say about our First Lady!

(20,219 posts)That's why I'd love to know who the "lone dissenter" was. Curious as to whether it's anyone I "know".
I'd make a serious wager on which forum you'd be most likely to find him!
OT-- I love your name, it's hilarious!
muriel_volestrangler
(101,316 posts)And it appears to be completely original (though it has the air of a Don Martin name, which is a Good Thing). I, on the other hand, stole mine from John Cleese, who more or less stole it from Marty Feldman and Barry Took.
BlancheSplanchnik
(20,219 posts)And John Cleese! Hahahahha love him in that blonde hair!
My name came from a fingerspelling game I was playing with some friends. Did you know "splanchnic" is an actual word?
Have a nice evening, Muriel!!!!!!

(100 posts)Two beautifully intelligent and caring people and great looking, too! We are so fortunate as a country that Barack Obama and Michelle had the insight and courage to run for president in '08. That was a brilliant success and just the beginning. I am proud to have them as President and First Lady.

(10,597 posts)....That, my dear, is beautiful!!! I wonder how many wardrobe changes Michelle has gone through today? She definitely looks 10 years younger in this photo with that haircut. When I seen the clip of PO and Michelle talking to parents/staff/children yesterday at that school they did their National Day of Service, it looked like Michelle has also lost weight! May have been just what she had on.
Yes, they are a beautiful people, inside and out. A more perfect Union? Yesssss we are!
