President Obama would have to take his clothes off to get more attention...
Been watching this from bed, the VP & Jill doing the last dance and I just can't take my eyes off them...
Oh please don't alert. I adore them all...but Joe is a sort of ...you fill in what it is he does so well...

(10,044 posts)It was at the main inaugural ball. Joe kissed her a couple of times too, and she looked ecstatic...
Oh, I watched it in my bedroom if that's what you meant.

(10,044 posts)In order to see more, you have to go to C-Span and look up the dances. He said they have them all there...or wait till the reruns comes up.

(144 posts)As much attention as President and First Lady Obama get, I absolutely adore Joe and Jill Biden as well. She is a beautiful woman and Joe Cool has that aging like fine wine handsomeness to him.

(11,914 posts)Jill was my English teacher for a class I took at Del Tech. At the time, I thought it was cool that she was the Senator's wife. Little did I know....

(11,914 posts)Have been lucky enough to see him several times in non-official venues (Blue Rocks games, UD campus events), and a few times at campaign events during the run-up to 2008 and before that at some local parades/public events during campaign seasons. We were sooo lucky because at one of the Blue Rocks games he was seated right behind us! Introduced himself, shook our hands, chatted with us and made a fuss over the kids (at that time a baby and a 7yo). He is ALWAYS working the crowd with a smile. We've only seen him once since he's been VP when he was an official speaker in a lecture series at UD.
I was always hoping our friend would invite him to the lecture series we do as a community function, to talk about the Constitution or something else pertinent. Biden mentioned him in his book and he was one of the people who helped him get his start in law after his graduation. We had a luncheon this past weekend and our Chancery Court Chancellor spoke re: business ethics, and questions/comments turned to Citizens' United, so it's not out of the realm of possibility that Biden could visit. That being said, our daughter said she found the Chancellor's talk this Sunday much more satisfying than the VP's speech at UD. Biden was very much "there is good and bad in everyone, that includes those across the aisle and there is always room for compromise" (paraphrased, but it was all on the idea of 'reaching across the isle'). She liked that the Chancellor's first few minutes where he opened with "I'm a liberal Democrat. I'm not afraid of the "L" word, or the "P" word. So, if you want to leave, I'll understand."
I'm hoping that Joe runs in 2016. I think he'd be great. I really hope that some day I'll have a chance to vote for Beau for Senator or President.
