http://www.palmbeachpost.com/ap/ap/florida/27-pythons-killed-so-far-in-floridas-python-hunt/nT38f/The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Tuesday that 27 of the invasive snakes have been killed so far in the competition that began Jan. 12.
More than 1,000 people signed up to hunt pythons in the Everglades through Feb. 10 in the hopes of winning cash prizes. Competitors are allowed to keep the python skins, once researchers finish examining the snakes.
And we are supposed to get colder weather this week. That may help to get more of this invasive species out of the Everglades

Why haven't the gun nuts stepped up during this state sanctioned hunting season?

(34,136 posts)1. That's less than a third of a python per hunter!
These hunters aren't working hard enough.

The state has called upon its residents to put their love of guns to good use and only 27 snakes have been killed in 10 days. That's less than 3 snakes per day. Talk about pathetic!
