The "Morans" Finally See The Light: "Public is not behind us & that’s a real problem for our party

Republican Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan neatly explains why the upcoming fights might be a problem for the GOP:

The public is not behind us, and that’s a real problem for our party.

Gee, ya think? And how long did it take you to realize this? The American people are sick of the crazy GOPers and their Tea Party sub group. Either go away or start doing the job you were hired to do. As long as you only care about your next election and how to satisfy your corporate masters, the public will never be behind you.

They really and truly can't fathom that regular people are not behind them.

As an aside, it was -2 degrees in East Lansing this morning

It is global climate change .... the only reason I pointed the temp out in East Lansing to the previous poster is that s/he has a Spartans Avatar.... My daughter is now a student at Michigan State and called hysterical about how cold it is (MSU has a HUGE sprawling campus that will insure an uncomfortable walk to class)

I can't imagine walking on campus in that temp. I lived in Maine for many years, but as cold as Maine gets, that damp cold from the Great Lakes feels so much colder. I hope you get an early spring.

These people have come to see their political party as a kind of ruling entity, and public support as wholly incidental.

...And history shows us that things rarely go well for the power elite when they disregard, or are blindly ignorant to the will of the people.

Once they can convince us that cutting food stamps to feed children is a winner and that oil subsidies is also a winner, they will then become viable once again.

they don't seem to get that what affects the so called "least of these" will affect them at some point.

I guess some of their base is are finally tired of unemployment, homelessness, home invasions, crime and thefts at their businesses, not enough customers, climate changes,etc...They want austerity.

They are still digging.

YOU ARE NOT BEHIND THE PUBLIC!
You hate the public, you favor "corporations are people my friend" and the uber wealthy. You hate hispanics, blacks and women, you demonize the LGBT community then are surprised when your ass is kicked in a national election.

You don't want to change your party and it's beliefs, you want to change your dialogue to "fool" those you hate into voting for you as you continue to screw them over and demonize them for scared white men..
