Fed Prosecutors were never liked in Boston to begin with, but she is really making a name for herself. Not the kind of name she was hoping for though. Looks like her political ambitions might have just gone poof.

(27,315 posts)This story is BS. The Swartz story is a tragedy, but this one is just plain opportunism.
Also the blogger you post is a GOPer posting on bluemassgroup.

(1,406 posts)They have a moderate conservative Democratic slant. Locally though they went for the Democrat 9 out of 11 times in the links. The paper also is no longer owned by the tin foil head Costello, and has employed some very good people.
I would think that any government official using a position to strong arm an ordinary citizen would be unacceptable no matter where the news comes from. That is like shooting the messenger. This also looks like a close cousin to the KELO case.

Actually, it is more revenge about a woman than actual care about the justice system.
Has Swartz been a poor, hispanic kid killing himself in jail for a minor crime, we all know most people here would not have said anything. His death is tragic, but we can either do something useful with this, like push to change laws, or we can bash a woman who was doing her job.

I know some want to blame 'society' or 'the government' for Swartz' suicide but Ortiz did not hang him.
It's equally ludicrous to say that if she doesn't win every single case, it's a 'setback'.

(1,406 posts)was put out there by the Boston Globe. The set back is not because of the results a single case but the type of case that it was. A Federal Government strong arming a Citizen to take his property and livelihood with little or no evidence. People in Mass already hate Federal Prosecutors and the FBI with very good reasons.
