I don't know if you all saw this bit last night where she showed that Obama's proposal on guns are overwhelmingly popular when you ask people about them individually even amongst Republicans. But when ask "do they support Obama's plan for guns" Republicans are overwhelmingly opposed. I would say I'm shocked, but how else do you explain country saying it favor Medicare for all, but people turn out to protest the modest reform in Obamacare as socialism. I wish we had an answer for this tribalism.
