And I mean directly or indirectly. Seriously, we all need these phones. I do NOT want to support any company that promotes abusive labor situations. But, I'm not sure there are any options out there. SAD.

Do you use, for instance, Microsoft Windows, a company which uses Foxconn & similar?
Consider that Foxconn makes 40% of the world's consumer electronic components. Consider that the rest are made largely in economically deprived countries under working conditions we would consider unfair.
The problem - inherent to modern day capitalism - isn't going to go away by boycotting phones or blaming one company.

(392 posts)a Foxconn worker protesting any other company but Apple. It seems that Apple Is the only company that allows Foxconn to abuse It's workers.
