20,000 is a lot of posts.

You type in the box 7 or so times per day and it adds up after 7+ years. And here I am.

Let's take back our party - FDR Democrats again, no more Third-Way crypto-Republicans.

Go Elizabeth Warren!

I love you all, even my meanest critics.

Peace.

But the last topic I was brave enough to comment on tonight included someone named Demeter with 63,003 posts? Really? Seriously? Come on, how many of us can think of ANYTHING we have done 63,000 times in our lives... (besides maybe bodily functions - and even that's just, what, 2,000 times a year??)

But there are many who have displayed pretty impressive dedication to DU over the years, with far fewer than 60K posts, and I, too, appreciate every one of them.

Maybe switch back to decaf?

But seriously, I admire your restraint. That's gotta be some kind of record here.

20,000 is a lot. 63,000 indicates someone needs to get out more.

...but 20,000 in 7 years is not so many.

My 28,000 in 12 years is even less,
but I am severly handicapped by having a decent, fulfilling life outside of DU.

I've seen some here rack up thousands and thousands of posts in just a few months. That is just sad.

Worth Repeating!!!

I've been hanging out here for almost 11 years. I'm averaging 3.4 posts/day. Guess I need to step it up.

Just curious - Does that include 3rd way Manny posts? or it 3rd way separate?

20,000 is a good, solid number.

35. I read a book, oh probably 40 years ago called Dr. Rat (I think)
Tue Jan 29, 2013, 01:21 AM
Jan 2013

The narrator was a rat on a wheel spinning in medical test lab and a tale of his interpretation of humanity. He spun and spun and spun with little knowledge of the message he was spinning. His message, ultimately, was a gathering of all mammals to a central place in an effort of solidarity. The last scene was most all the mammals together and a giraffe sniffing the air and asking, "Where's man?" (Which was pretty funny because giraffes are ordinarily mute.)

My question is, "Where's Sid?"

Love ya Manny.

No. I think she thought it was the best that could be done under the circumstances.

She was out in front on filibuster reform, with a clear voice. No weasel words from Warren so far.

If she votes for "free" trade, Social Security cuts, or similar, then we can revisit.

Maybe more with the way you tend to ramble. Somebody give Manny a Netflix subscription! No, wait, that won't work. He'll just open up two windows.

I'm glad one of those windows will be DU. You're one of the highlights here.

Guess I will have to celebrate soon, too. Has taken me since 2002 - some real stinkers, some gems I'm proud of, some that pissed people off and others that were liked very much; some funny and some "funny." Probably like most.

Right with you, Manny.
