$25 dollars may not be much to some people, but for a poor person, that is money that buys gas money to go to work or to go out looking for a job. The Tennessee asshole doesn't realize that parents that are not well educated themselves don't have to tools to assist in their children's educations. Instead of assholes like the Tennessee senator finding money to fund adult education where adults can get a functional education and start to understand it value, the asshole punishes those people and their children in a way that insures more poverty. Instead of funding nutrition programs and looking at the school day so that children can get food in their stomachs before starting class, assholes like the Tennessee senator trip over themselves to cut money to such programs.
