Want to have more sex? Survey says: stop helping with the chores

Let's run those numbers again.
I need to see your work and double check your math on this.

"Want to have more sex? Survey says: stop helping with the chores
No good deed goes unpunished.

That famous phrase from Clare Booth Luce apparently applies to married men, according to a new study that finds men who help with the housework tend to have less sex.

The University of Washington research, published Wednesday in the American Sociological Review, suggests that heterosexual couples have more “sexual encounters” when each partner takes on traditional gender roles.

“Where the male is doing the male tasks and the female is doing the female tasks, those are the couples (who) are having more sex,” UW Associate Professor of Sociology and study co-author Julia Brines said in an interview with the Toronto Star.

GF handles finances. I have never paid a bill, reconciled credit cards or balanced a checkbook in my life. I don't even know who our insurers are or the state of our mortgage. I like it that way.

As far as mechanical repair, that's what mechanics do.

But that hasn't affected our 'Dance Card'.

data from two decades ago. Very shoddy work, imo.

"The findings come from a national survey of about 4,500 heterosexual married U.S. couples participating in the National Survey of Families and Households. The data were collected from 1992 to 1994, the most recent large-scale survey available that measured sexual frequency in married couples. Brines says that it is unlikely that the division of housework – which did not include child care in this study – and sex have changed much since then.""

Shoddy crap like this is done for one reason, imo, and that is to back up a bias the researchers began with. They went looking for previous data that backed up their position and could only find them in one survey done in 1992 -1994, asking only heterosexual, married couples through a voluntary survey. Appalling and pathetic.
