For my DU friends slammed by the Snow - there are seeds / bulbs under it. I promise.

Yes, I needed a scarf to go snap these shots, but this is how my yard looked a few minutes ago.
In 40 plus years in the not so deep South (NC) I have not seen the daffodils blooming so early.

I hope this brings you a moment of change, take a deep breath and enjoy.

poking up through the ground already. Now they are safely covered by a blanket snow and will get a long sustained drink when it melts. They will bloom like crazy this year!

here, the lilacs and daffs are starting to bud out (the lilacs since the first week in Jan). this is wayyyyyyy too early, but a sign of how dry and warm this winter has been. even the grass is starting to turn green.

I posted the shoots poking through in the photo group then. It's mind blowing.

I hope to be shoveled out by Monday. At least we, in my area, did not lose power. This has been quite a mess. I remember the blizzard of '78. This was not as bad but then, I was not so old. Love your pictures. Can't wait for spring when my bulbs come up.
