Geez these pugs are volatile!

Late Novemeber Gingrich catches a national wave. Newt leads Romney by roughly 24 points in Florida. Confirmed by several polls.

After December and before South Carolina Romney zoomed back up to roughly +24 points in Florida polling. Confirmed by several polls.

Pre SC Newtmentum becomes a news story. Newt and Romney roughly tied in Florida. Confirmed by several polls.

Newt wins South Carolina. Newt leads Romney by 8 points if Florida. Confirmed by several polls.

Romeny starts running ads heavily in Florida. Romney takes a lead of roughly 8 points. Confirmed by several polls.

The polls are measuring (with amazing consistancy between themselves) the behavior of a quarter of the Republican electorate who has, for months, moved seemingly in sync stating a preference for the last guy they say on TV, or heard something good about on TV.
