watching the SOTU what's with the PINS?

Biden and Bems are wearing a Green pin with a Green ribbon and several Republicians like Paul Ryan have round red pins.

1. The green ribbons - I think - are in memory of Sandy Hook.

GOPers wouldn't wear those because, guns! Not sure what the pins are for.

Gabby Giffords. The green-and-white for Newtown, although I would like to see them represent ALL gunshot victims.
