This problem is not in the streets.
It's not in the town halls, city halls, state houses or even the US Capitol.
It's not in the mayor's mansion, the governor's mansion, or the White House.
It's not in the boardrooms or courtrooms.
It's between your ears. It's all just in your head.
Money is worthless without you wanting it. If you decide a given currency has no value...hey...guess what...it has no value.
People in Washington, D.C. might as well be large children playing government, if you think that's all they are.
These people only have power because we the people give it to them. It seems that the common people in our country have forgotten that this is true:
"...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed..."
And it seems the powerful in our country have forgotten that this too is true:
"...That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it..."
Every once and awhile in history, the allegedly powerless people have to correct some of the comeuppance of those who we allow to be powerful. They get a little ahead of themselves, and think this is anything but a big charade to stroke their egos.
Sorry folks at the "top", but you have precisely dick without the rest of us playing along.
If you push the people too far, we will be only too happy to correct this silly little misconception of yours.
When muffy and buffy are taught one day by no one, because the tutor didn't show up...
When your car doesn't wash itself...
When the house is not magically cleaned when you walk down the now unpolished staircase...
When the food is cold, or is not even on the plate...
When the dog has not been walked...
When the clothes did not come back from the cleaners...
When you went to buy something and it said declined because you are morally bankrupt...
Just remember, we had to set you straight, and it was for your own good. You are too big to win. I suggest losing some weight. You might start with that 8,000 lb ego you're carrying around.
