I posted on FB that Nugent is a "chickenhawk, pants-shitting, draft-dodging, serial pedophile, game poacher who has threatened the President and other elected officials"

And a couple of people answered that I have an anger problem.

4. I had someone reply with something similar.

A now ex-friend's sister clicked a "Support" link for Adoption Equality (Gay parents adopting children) and her brother replied with an ALL CAPS SHOUTFEST about how "sick" and "evil" gays were for wanting to adopt children. (wtf?)

I merely replied that he was a repugnant bigot for shouting such things and I dropped him from FB. Sure enough, within a day, his wife chimed in with "I can't believe all the hatred and anger that HKC brought to this discussion."

She also said he didn't realize that his caps lock key was on. Who writes three paragraphs of text, clicks "submit" and realizes their caps lock key isn't on?

It's typical, though: you post something about a right-winger and they always post back that you're "angry" or some other crap.

It's not as if the GOP base takes these imbeciles any more seriously than we do. In my opinion the best response to silliness is to laugh at it when you cannot ignore it. When was the last time you saw President Obama (or Bush for that matter) waste his time responding to these kinds of folks other than by laughing (or, in Bush's case, smirking) at them?

Nugent is a has-been musician and hunter. He's not terribly smart, he's not terribly sane, and he's definately not interesting.
