WOW-Buried at the "ass end" of the article: Independents Siding BIG TIME With Obama In FLORIDA!!!

A Poll Arising Situation

by Zandar

The latest NBC/Marist poll in Florida this weekend finds Mitt Romney up big over Newt Gingrich now, 42%-27%. That’s not the big news. This is, buried at the ass end of the article:
http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/01/29/10260572-nbcmarist-poll-romney-up-15-over-gingrich-in-florida

Romney and rest of the candidates, however, continue to trail President Obama in Florida among all voters. Romney does best, but loses 49-41 percent, a point worse than a month ago.

As in the latest NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll, Gingrich fares the worst of the entire GOP field against Obama, worse even than Santorum or Paul. Obama beats Gingrich, 52-35 percent, a five-point wider advantage for Obama from December.

Obama: 49%
Romney: 41%

Obama: 52%
Gingrich: 35%

Obama: 50%
Paul: 36%

Obama: 50%
Santorum: 35%

Obama, whose approval rating in Florida is 46 percent, has a lead over Romney, in large part, because of independents. Independents sided overwhelmingly with the president—50-36 percent over Romney, and by 20 points or more over Gingrich, Santorum and Paul.

Georgia is a distant possibility, McCain beat Obama in Georgia by 8%. Georgia has changed more in the democrats direction since 2008. A focused effort in Georgia with boots on the ground to amp up democratic leaning voters could turn Georgia blue.

and other swing states that Obama carried in 2008.

And yeah, it's going to be tough, but I trust the M$M like I trust Tom DeLay's ass in jail.

10. Yep, as I said, it's going to be close; however, Obama won PA by 10 points.

Moderates, independents, moderate-liberals and general liberals are not the type that runs around mouthing off.

13. Rubio did well with them during the 2010 election.

The economy was still painfully weak and unemployment claims were still growing. Let's see Rubio do well with anyone but older cuban independents down there now. I seriously doubt that Rubio can help Romney win young cubans, that particular demographic is up for grabs because they don't think in the mindless, anti-Castro lockstep manner of their elders.

I read where political attitudes among Cuban voters in Florida were changing, which is a good sign as far as Democrats are concerned. However, I've also seen Republicans still preaching the same old same old there. So, we shall see if they're polling is off base or not. Personally, I hope they're stuck in archaic mode.

Methinks they now 'remember' the 2007-08 economic meltdown also.

The real story is that none of the GOP contenders will be able to beat Obama, but the corporate-owned news media needs us to think they can.

Independents down there may have been fooled once in the 2010 election lead up when republicans promised focus on jobs and more jobs. But times have changed. Independents see republican office holders for what they are, a pack of pseudo nazis.
