...in the mother of all Friday news dumps, it seems. Doesn't bode well.

US State Dept. to issue assessment of Keystone XL on Friday

The U.S. State Department will release on Friday a long-awaited draft environmental assessment of the Keystone XL pipeline, a project that would link Canada's oil sands to Texas refineries, several government sources said.

The State Department will release the assessment of TransCanada Corp's pipeline, which will examine a new route in Nebraska as well as emissions associated with the pipeline, the sources said.

The department declined an official comment.

so she would not be SEEN signing the deal SHE made long ago. She even had the assessment done by a company she chose that she knew to be friendly to the project.

Perfect timing for the politically adept. Just remember this assessment was bogus from day one when Hillary hired this firm already friendly to Keystone deal.

Kerry ACCEPTED State knowing he'd be the one stuck signing this deal. No doubt he expects the slings and arrows and looks to the day where he has the power to make a greater difference at HIS State Dept.

Kerry had best come through for the environment and climate change. I think he will.

They are going to give the go ahead to put that monstrosity right down the middle of this country. Petitions and protests are not going to stop it.
