It won't be long before Fox News hosts a panel to discuss the impeachable offense of mixing Science Fiction references.....

Spock may not even be able to break through that resistance. You may need the Tholians on this one.

But I'm telling you that, in situations like this, a photon torpedo straight up the tailpipe is the maneuver called for in the Starfleet Academy combat doctrine. I wrote the manual, did I ever tell you? Oh- many times you say? Funny, I don't recall... When confronted with an irrational opponent, you cannot hope to prevail with logic - or with empathy. That's why you'll never make Captain, Spock.

Why you Vulcans, as purely logical beings, would also feature empathy as part of your psychic makeup has never made a lot of sense to me, Spock. But then neither do those freaky pointed Vulcan ears of yours.

Actually, Spock did make Captain....and supposedly the ears are an evolutionary thing, according to Trek lore. Because of Vulcan's higher gravity and thinner atmosphere, the shape helps to gather sound.

I don't explain it, I just report it. I'm still trying to understand how you'd have a thinner atmosphere on a planet with higher gravity.

Not quicker but, in the long term, better. Do we want one. private. far rightwing-connected. corporation running things in the 23rd century with 'TRADE SECRET' code--code that not even the Spocks among us are permitted to penetrate--with NO audit controls in half the states of the Federation and miserably inadequate audits in the other half?

There's got to be a violation of the "Prime Directive" in there somewhere. Oh, yeah, WE are the less developed species that our overlords are interfering with--we, who fancy ourselves a superior civilization, out of our ignorance of other civilizations, election frauded right into another Great Depression II by war profiteers, banksters and corporate looters!

Pathetic!

I don't know, maybe a Vulcan mind-meld IS the answer. Cuz our fellow and sister citizens don't seem to get it. And I fear that it's going to be centuries before they do.

You wonder why Congress is so egregiously unrepresentative? It's because they WERE NOT ELECTED!
