Mediaite: "our president...embodies the best elements of Mr. Spock &" Samuel Jackson‘s Jedi Master

Love the photo there of Obama between photos of Leonard Nimoy as Spock and Samuel L. Jackson as Jedi Master Mace Windu.

http://www.mediaite.com/tv/white-house-embraces-jedi-mind-meld-meme-these-cuts-arent-the-solutions-americans-are-looking-for/

When President Obama casually mentioned his inabilty to work a “Jedi mind meld” on Congress during his press conference on the sequester this morning, nerds of all shapes, sizes and political persuasions on Twitter immediately erupted with outcries of heresy. The president has inadvertently mashed-up reference from Star Wars AND Star Trek. Shouldn’t our president, who embodies the best elements of Mr. Spock and whatever Samuel L. Jackson‘s character for the Star Wars prequels was called, know the difference between a Jedi mind trick and Vulcan mind meld?

Now, the official White House Twitter account has responded, capitalizing on the meme and embracing the awkward confluence of the two sci-fi franchises. The team posted the image below, complete with signature Star Wars and Star Trek fonts and a URL, wh.gov/jedimindmeld that redirects to “The President’s Plan” on the sequester.

Couldn't resist mixing in another SciFi franchise (however, only the first was any good).

the words are appropriatly mixed.

People from all ages know the words and it takes MORE than both to battle
these republicans.
Star Trek and Star Wars are fictional.

Never in history has there been an enemy worse than the Republican/Tea/Libertarian party.

(yet of course some in 1980 and 2000 thought nothing of voting for Reagan/Bush/Bush/Nader)
