They like to "claim" they are Christian without ever doing anything that Christ spoke of and encouraged. All the glory, none of the Christian-like love, caring and sacrifice.

Quite often that goes along with not following the tenets of Jesus in inverse proportion.

The fact that they defy and defile their supposed savior's message and teachings with such regularity and impunity calls into question whether they really believe in him at all. Or do they worship a phony made-up "Right-wing Warrior Jesus" who hates blacks and gays, loves war, and wants the rich to rape the poor? That would be tantamount to worshiping themselves. Aha, now we're getting somewhere!

It's like they knowingly take full advantage of the "faith alone" metric as the detirmining factor of how much of a "good christian" one is. This allows them to be selfish, vile, nasty SOBs to others while still being inherently virtuous without guilt - And - without a even a hint of irony! Point out the disconnect and they trot out the same thing: About how humans are basically flawed anyway blah blah blah. Yeah they're flawed alright: They're royally fucked up.

Very often, a picture of a rainbow and/or dove and a load of quasi-inspirational guff written in a script font will suffice, as long as the words "God", "Lord" or "Jesus" are in there somewhere.

I'm actually amazed by how little play the Bible actually gets. It would warrant another pie chart for "Bible quotes used by 'conservative' 'Christians' ", where about 55% would be John 3:16, 40% would be Romans 1:26-27, and 5% would be the whole rest of the Bible combined.

most right wing xians fall into many of those categories.

And then have a single bubble way apart from it that reads, "gives to the poor".
