The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) doesn't seem to be staffed by real Democrats ...

Scuba --
Paul Ryan, in an effort to downplay the severity of the House budget hell be presenting next week, says not to "expect any big surprises." What a relief -- no big surprises?!?
Actually, word is we can expect a few big surprises in Ryan's budget.
Reports say that Paul Ryan will call for ending Medicare as we know it for Americas seniors.
According to sources, Ryans budget includes a plan to VOUCHERIZE Medicare for seniors younger than 55.
Finally, Ryan wants to squeeze 30 years of vicious cuts into only a decade. That would be brutal.
...
Thanks,
Kelly

So Kelly, which is it: are you for Medicare for All, like us real Democrats, or are you just fine with spreading Paul Ryan's 10 years of cuts out over 30?

...what the letter states. The DCCC:
"Finally, Ryan wants to squeeze 30 years of vicious cuts into only a decade. That would be brutal."
That specifically states that the cut over 30 years are "vicious," and cramming them into a decade is "brutal."
Either way, they horrible cuts.

(95,247 posts)His 'budget' in the last Congress featured cuts spread over thirty years. This new version compresses these into ten. Nothing in the comment you cite supports his cuts over either time frame, but simply remarks the new version is worse than the old. It is.

(5,275 posts)I get email and postal mail all the time from them but won't give them a dime and I told them why in no uncertain terms.
I don't want any of my cash going to DINO types. I do donate but only to real liberals, real democrats, not so called "dems" like Max Baucus...or unfortunately often Obama.

(53,475 posts)... she had a chance to contrast different plans and she used it. She contrasted Ryan's 10 year plan with his 30 year plan, making his 30 year plan look more reasonable by comparison.
You may be right, of course. Perhaps she's merely incompetent.

(11,804 posts)"vicious cuts." Why doesn't that register?
People don't usually describe programs they support as vicious, do they?

(53,475 posts)Been reading Drew Weston's "The Political Brain" about persuasion in politics. It makes it pretty clear that the national Party leadership is either horribly incompetent or actively trying to undermine the party that alleges to represent the People.

They are saying if the cuts are spread over 30 years it would be bad for medicare. They use the words vicious.
Ryan's plan over 10 years makes it even worse.
They are not endorsing cutting medicare.
I am starting to wonder if all these attacks from "the left" are trolls.
