Bush’s Art teacher thinks he will go down in history as a great Painter...

Never mind the small fact that he is responsible for illegally destroying a nation murdering over 4,000 American soldiers and perhaps over 100,000 civilians.

Yea, lets be amused by the fact that he fucking paints dogs well.
“Wow, I just can’t believe he is so talented.” “Look at this honey”

Yea, go ahead and show his doggie paintings to some of the parents who’s kids were killed in our country and ask them “How good they are.?"

Although the art school he wanted to attend didn't think he was good enough, so he became an evil dictator instead. Point is, artistic talent (whether or not W has much; I didn't think the dog paintings were that great) has little to do with whether the artist is a good person. They say Picasso was an asshole, too.

Actually it was pretty good. One reason why I think he was rejected was that what I saw was impressionistic. To think how history would have changed if the Sorbonne had accepted him. The French could have saved themselves a lot of grief along with the rest of the world.

The French art establishment was into realism and shunned impressionism.

instead of BS-ing his way through the Harvard MBA program and riding Poppy's coattails into politics - maybe he would have become good at art and had a decent career as a painter, and then he never would have become a shitty president and got a bunch of people killed in Iraq....

1) The Sorbonne is not an art school. 2) Hitler didn't apply to the Sorbonne. and 3) The Hitler paintings I've seen weren't impressionistic; they were just slightly smeary water colors.

Nonetheless, history would still have been different if the French had accepted him into the Sorbonne!

he didn't understand proportions. It would have been fine, painting people larger than buildings if he had been leaning modernist or otherwise, but Hitler was going for traditional painting. The professors at the art school shot his efforts down due to the size of the objects compared to each other in his work.

"Third, notice the perspectives. Architectural perspectives are rendered with extreme precision, with almost loving attention to detail; however, people and animals are out of proportion, poorly articulated, and vastly out of scale with the backgrounds. Figures are rendered with wanton disregard for anatomy or accurate animation. This is the primary reason he was rejected by the Vienna School of Fine Arts: "Test drawing unsatisfactory."

It's hard to believe George Bush is capable of tying his shoes. He's the guy who fell off a segway, nearly killed himself trying to land a small plane, ran down a guy on his bicycle, and nearly choked on a pretzel. I don't know enough about art to judge whether his bathroom paintings or dogs are of significant value but I'm amazed he can even hold a brush.

Edit: I just noticed that his painting of himself in the shower shows him looking at the wall but we see his face in the mirror looking right at us. That's either the product of an insane mind or very surrealistic. And it kind of looks like he has breasts coming out of his back (or maybe we're actually seeing his front, with breasts, but his head decided to do a Linda Blair rotation).

They were excellent examples of naive art work. He's got some skill and I found his self portraits to be pretty honest and revealing.

He made two portraits of himself cleansing himself. One of them has a mirror that reflects his face even though he's not looking into it. The other is a point of view shot of his feet in a bath . . . unusual. What is he trying to clean?

I've seen quite a bit of art and I've seen worse. Much worse. Too bad he decided to take up politics instead.

Furious because I actually had something positive to say about a Bush. His paintings are rather good. Ow ow ow that hurts.

But that doesn't change anything about how he fucked this country, the Constitution, etc.

he used to paint a word picture.

Bush indeed painted a word picture.
He even painted a map.

See OBL and terrorists bomb the USA on 9-11
See 3000 people die
See OBL lives and trains in Afghanastan
See he paints, X marks the spot
See X marks the spot
as he paints a word picture pointing directly to Iraq on the map

Yeah, he was a great painter
unfortunately, he failed geography when he went to school and was not able to differentiate one from the other on the map

There is always a heavy demand for fresh mediocrity. In every generation the least cultivated taste has the largest appetite. (Paul Gauguin)

Only the mediocre are always at their best. (Jean Giraudoux)

Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them. (Joseph Heller)

Say you're an art teacher, and one day you get a call from a former president who wants to take art lessons. He's got plenty of time on his hands and plenty of money, so you decide what the hell, why not? And you hang out with him for a couple of months, try to teach him whatever you can, and maybe he has talent and maybe he doesn't, but it's a good gig in any event.

And then one day his emails with some of his paintings get hacked and now they're all over the Internet. And then people track you down and want to know what you think of the ex-president's paintings. Of course you're going to say he has tons of talent, even if you actually think the animals in his dog paintings look more like deformed woodchucks. If you don't dis the guy you might be in sudden demand as The Art Teacher of Presidents. And you might have a few of his sketches that might be worth something someday, even if they suck, because there will always be people who collect that sort of thing. Hell, yeah, he's the greatest thing since Picasso.
