I'm serious. Does anyone agree?

(11,464 posts)Perhaps the best thing one can do is 100% fully back and have Barack Obama's back now and forever hope for the continuation of his agenda.
Mitt Romney was an after thought from day one.
Nobody but Barack Obama and his legion of core fans won the election voting FOR Barack Obama
NOT against Mitt.
Let's keep that clear.
the 47% line told to us was great. But it did not affect the election
Team Obama WON the election. Keep that straight.
Let's award David Axelrod and Plouffe the medal of freedom for winning the election.
And let's give Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and LBJ the due they never seem to get for beating the other side.
And let's give Barack and Michelle Obama the Medal of Freedom too.
and if Prouty wants to be political, let him run in Florida for the house in 2014.
Gotta be a district that he could win in.
But let's not rewrite history and say the 47% changed history.
It was gravy and beautiful, deliciously dripping irony that Mitt ended up with 47%.
But Mitt never could have won 270 nor 50%.
Never forget.
Barack Obama is the first legit president since LBJ won in 1964.Let's not tarnish that fact.

(11,464 posts)1968, 1972, Nixon won, as the fracture got rid of LBJ and Wallace and the Dixiecrat racists
and the dirty tricks
(and 1976 would have been different had Nixon not been President)
1980 Dirty tricks by Reagan took down Carter
1984,1988 same as Reagan/Bush should have been jailed not elected in the first place
1992, under 50% because of Perot
2000 well, we all know he wasn't legit (though had somehow Gore been seated, Gore wouldn't have been taken as legit either)
2008,2012-OVER 50% and over 270. First legit since 1964 when LBJ slaughtered Barry Goldwater (and in alot of ways, 2012 was a repeat of 1964, and we can hope 2016 will be a repeat of it too, as Hillary crushes Jeb with no third party keeping votes under 50%.
And it would be highly ironic too, as 1992 was a case where a third party made it illegit by having it under 50%.)
But it's great what Scott did, however, let's not delegitimize the amazing and thorough beating President Obama gave Mitt Romney who was delusional if he thought he ever stood any chance. It wasn't the 47%.
And if, (BIG IF) we find he is a democratic voter and for the democratic party (because I cannot find anything on him quickly looking), he should run for office.
As of the moment, he has elevated himself to the second most famous bartender of all time
(Bruce Willis being the 1st, however, Bruce is not a democratic party fan is he?)
It was the fact that the republican party doesn't have the democraphics to ever win 50% of the vote or 270 unless they create chaos and fracture and keep it under 50%.

(11,464 posts)It was a sweeping landslide, and it was decided years earlier.
It is very important to keep reminding all people about that.

Prouty did a great thing... but not national medal-worthy.
