Dan Savage supports drag show at my UW Campus

Dan Savage has stepped in at one of our 2 year University of Wisconsin campuses (the one where I happen to teach) and has done something amazing. The school is sponsoring a drag show this evening which triggered a public attack by an anti-gay group against the campus for "recruiting." They said allowing a drag show on campus was pushing the idea that it's cool and fun to be gay, or something like that.

Dan Savage stepped in and bought all of the tickets to insure that the event was sold-out! Too cool!
This is a very big deal here especially in an area where the religious bullies often get their way.
