a high school football team, it should cause a serious discussion of rape and about tolerance of rape by coaches of every high school football team with the members of their team. It won't, of course, but it should. Sadly, that conversation is long overdue at many high schools around the country. Colleges, too.

Teamwork, team spirit, and good sportsmanship do not include raping girls and women after getting them drunk.

This means that if you fuck a passed-out drunk girl, don't tweet the pictures to your friends, because it could be bad for football if the photos get "out there." You might get a two-game suspension.

The consequences of rape can be severe for the rapist.

It's a first step, and a very important one.

Everyone knows in the abstract that rape is wrong. But these entitled little assholes don't believe that they raped a girl. And they probably never will.

Rape is wrong, but *I'm* not a rapist. Until you can convince men young and old what rape actually is, you won't get far.

This is an example, unfortunately, of why teaching women and girls how not to get raped
and not telling boys and men they shouldn't rape just doesn't work like we would like it to.

These guys still think they did nothing wrong. And their parents sure as shit didn't tell them this was wrong, nor their coaches nor anyone they take advice from or role model in their lives.

Someone should have told them Rape is Wrong instead of telling young women it's up to them to avoid fucking asshole heinous scumshits like this. What does a woman do, lock herself up in a basement to be safe from ATTITUDES that condone rape?

I hope some eyes here open up a bit and see what this is about. This topic has been covered here many times and there are still some throwback attitudes that would have helped these boys confirm that they did nothing wrong.

I hope young men watching this learn too, but more so I hope that their uncles and brothers and fathers and friends have some input to. Stand up against rape instead of laugh at rape jokes is a damn good start.
