of the poor but never fights to change the system that allows the poverty to keep on keeping on.

(75,480 posts)How could she change the system unless she declared herself queen of earth, or at least went into politics? At least she tried to so something, if nothing more than try to give some meaning and solace to the suffering people endured.

Edited to say:
Okay, I read it. Do you really think Mother Teresa was sitting on millions of dollars? For what possible purpose? As for the poor conditions in the clinics and missions, that's often how it goes in third-world conditions.
If you feel the need to take a shit on someone, why not pick someone who didn't spend an entire lifetime in service to the poor?

(75,480 posts)What if he went barefoot with a begging bowl and sold everything in the Vatican and gave it to the poor, then what? Once there was nothing left to give, what would he do about the poor then? It's governments that change social systems so everyone is taken care of not religions. All they can do is offer charity after begging for donations and the results are spotty. If this system had worked so well we would not see one poor person today, except it doesn't work. Religions cannot cure all that ails the world, but governments can if there is a will of their people to collectively go there.
You are blaming the wrong people for the ills of society.
