Call Wells Fargo Mortgage Dept President to stop evictions and negotiate

Evidence of Wells Fargo's methods of negotiation. Before sunrise this morning, Wells Fargo employees broke into 3325 2nd Ave S for the fourth time, even though Jessica English, a mother of four experiencing homelessness, has repeatedly stated that the house is occupied, and that any eviction should go through due process.

Next time, it would be easier for Wells Fargo to knock on the front door, sit down, and begin to work with communities on a solution to the crisis of homelessness, rather than pay employees to conduct late-night raids on homes.

Please Call Michael J. Heid, President, Home Mortgage division of Wells Fargo at (515)213-6117, tell him to stop authorizing late night break-ins on 3325 2nd Ave S, and instead turn the home over to be used for affordable housing instead of letting it sit vacant creating blight in the neighborhood.

More info/sign Jessica's petition: http://start2.occupyourhomes.org/petitions/wells-fargo-turn-this-vacant-home-over-to-the-community

Wells Fargo just sent people all the way from Illinois to try to board up Jessica's home, but they were turned away by committed community members. Sorry Wells Fargo, looks like you just wasted a lot of gas.

Occupy Homes MN
Around 6:00am this morning, Wells Fargo broke into Jessica English's reclaimed vacant home for a fourth time, claiming it was empty. Supporters quickly mobilized to the home and successfully turned them back yet again to defend a home that was once a vacant blight on the community and is now being used for housing.

Unbelievably, the people who were sent to board it up said they had drove all night from Illinois to try to evict the property. It looks like Wells Fargo just wasted a lot of gas money.

Until they have an order from a judge to evict, these acts of aggression meant to intimidate a homeless mother of four are totally unlawful.

Things are getting real in the House Financial Services Committee in DC as Ed DeMarco testifies. Our very own Caylin Crawford and Ramon Suero from City Life/Vida Urbana were escorted out by Capitol Police for demanding "Dump DeMarco!" and "We need affordable housing!" A number of silent protesters holding signs reading "Principal Reduction" were also escorted out. Congratulations and great work drawing attention to the need for immediate sweeping reforms at Fannie and Freddie!
