(570 posts)The white sleeper sofa w/ retractable chaise was my fav. The pieces look like they'd fit right in with some of the micro-apartment designs being developed like Chang's 24 rooms in 330 square feet:

(30,947 posts)I have a living room couch that converts to a bed, but it is extremely uncomfortable because the springs poke anyone trying to sleep on it. I have had to put a foam rubber layer over the springs.

(11,012 posts)comfortable than the "hide-a-bed" I have in my house. The matress is memory foam, which, I'm told, is very comfortable... I'd give it a try.

(11,012 posts)in order to transform those storage containers into living spaces for low income and disabled people. They did make one storage container into a living unit for a paralyzed man as a demonstration of how it could be done. The unit turned out really well and the man was delighted with his new home.
I don't think they won the grant, however, because I have not heard anything about it since.
