He just talks like that, so I'm quite sure his inner voice is just like that. He's a hoot to talk with in real life. Or Con life, which really isn't real life, it's life just a bit geekier and more sparkly! His husband, Brad, seems cool too, though, he plays the wind beneath the wings guy. He's seems as practical as George seems luminously amusing.

He can be a jerk to some; He doesn't suffer fools gladly, which is to say: he doesn't suffer fools at all.

It's been said that you can judge a man's character by how he behaves with restaurant staff. When we sat down to dinner, I had some trepidation. But he couldn't have been nicer, sweeter, warmer, or more charming to our waiter. He was a joy to share a dinner table with. And a spellbinding story-teller.

Me with Harlan Ellison in 2005:

A lot of people read him and either come at him like he is public asshole number one, or give him a lot of fake, possesive "love". Both require a LOT of armor to be worn around the heart and mind.

...while this is true, the questions when a man is raped are much different. When a woman is raped, she is blamed. When a man is raped, he is humiliated for not be a "real man". The real problem is the way victims are treated. It shouldn't matter if they are male, female, or children; they were violated! The rapist is the bad one; NOT THE VICTIM....EVER!

Because men and boys are raped everyday...and we never hear about that. George managed to defend women and remind us of what men go through as well.

They can be pithy and clever and wicked, but they have little possibility of delivering anything even resembling content.

You interpret the Tweet as brilliant and inclusive; I see it as shallow and dismissive. Only George could clear it up, but a Tweet couldn't possibly have enough characters to explain.
