Oh, dear. When I thought the series "Californication" couldn't possibly push the

sex envelope any more, they do. Actually, the anything goes sex was getting boring and that changed with the most recent episode. They have a scene in which Hank's new girlfriend has a dream that she goes to Church in her skimpy Catholic school girl outfit. She kneels before a giant cross of Jesus to pray, and Jesus comes alive. He pops out his nails, comes down from the cross and starts to make out with her. I'm surprised I haven't read any outrage about this yet like there has been with "Girls".

I suppose it was pretty blasphemous if you are believer. However, he's a blond Nordic Jesus, which makes him seem not quite like the real Jesus. However, that should make the redneck fundies cringe. Otherwise, if you just look at the funny side of it, it's hilarious.

In a dream, the 'characters' are not real, so a dream Atticus is not pretending to be Jesus, the dreamer is creating that image of Atticus. You sound confused about the difference between a character and the actor playing the character as well as about the nature of dreams.

It is ten times worse than that. I'm neither Catholic or even christian but it made me cringe.

Californication actually had to get a handle on the sex and nudity after it was picked up my mainstream international broadcast channels.
