If Kathleen Falk is the only dem who will run against Walker--I'm not sure she would win

Falk is a good Dem and was a good Dane County Executive. But as a statewide candidate I don't think she has what it takes. I'm also not sure somebody so identified with Dane County (Madison) will do as well statewide. She lost a democratic primary for Governor in 2002 and she lost the general election for Attorney General of WI in 2006, which was a pretty democratic year. Obviously if she is the nominee I will work for and vote for her, but I do hope we get some other candidates. So far nobody has else has come forward. After getting one million signitures to recall Walker, Democrats really need to nominate the strongest candidate. Obviously if there is a competitive primary and Falk wins it then she deserves to be the nominee, but so far nobody else has gotten into the race. That's not to say nobody else will.

All in all, it's a shame that Russ Feingold doesn't run--polls show he is the only democrat who could decisively defeat Walker and he could raise a lot of money quickly. I know he doesn't want to get involved in a political race (though just two years ago he ran for re-election to the senate), if he could even just fill out the remaining years of Walker's term--he could turn WI around not only in terms of policies but in terms of returning this state as a beacon of good government and good ethics. We need that!

... I expect other candidates to emerge as soon as the GAB calls for an election. To do so in the meantime just gives the right time to attack you. It's nice of Kathleen to take on this role for the left. She's taking one for the team.

He may have needed a break from politics after the last election loss, but he needs to be convinced that his state needs him now.

well-known candidate, Walker will win and all the work in the recall will go to waste.
