Parents outraged as school district tries to move 'hero' principal to another school
She fought off an attacker to protect her students, and now parents are fighting to keep her at a local elementary school.
The Red Lion Area School Board voted to move a long-time principal to a new school, and now parents are taking to a Facebook page to say they don't approve.

The York Daily Record reported the superintendent wanted to move Bentzel to a new school next year because her test scores are high. He said he hopes she will boost scores at another school, and that doesn't settle well for parents here.

Back in 2001, Bentzel fought off a man with a machete as he entered the school.
They know her as their hero, Shelley added.
Last year, she showed CBS 21 News the scars of when that attacker came in, she got to him before he went into a kindergarten classroom.

You have a school that is performing well and they want to remove what they see is the reason it is doing well - wouldn't it be easier to sit down, find out how she is doing it, and apply that elsewhere?
