And what would Handel be without the endless runs? It's so, well, Baroque. (As an aside, my senior solo in HS for the Christmas concert was "Rejoice" from the same oratorio. I was a Mezzo back then.)

Steve Martin declared that you just can't be sad when listening to the banjo. I say the same thing about music from Baroque period. It's my favorite music to study by. Nice and orderly.

I'm not singing much nowadays and, at 57, I don't have those chops anymore, but I can still pick up a gitfiddle and warble out a few tunes here and there.
