NO ONE believes the GOP is trying to "save" Social Security. They don't even believe that. You can't even point to a GOP politician even proposing running on that platform. They proudly run on the "entitlements MUST be cut platform".

Also they aren't "real" cuts, because it just effects COLA from what I understand. However, dealing with real COLA going up and not having my pay keep up with that, I am thinking I really don't have the same buying power I had a couple years ago so it really is like a cut in income.
