Damnit Obama. Stop sending me annoying text messages. Got something cool to say? Say it. But don't tell me that the Superbowl commercials suck.

The Wielding Truth
(11,415 posts){GM and Chrysler are operating on a combined $17.4 billion in government loans approved by the Bush administration in December. They had until March 31 to prove they were viable to qualify for more loans. The two automakers have asked for another $21.6 billion.
The president's auto task force said Chrysler needs to partner with the Italian car company Fiat, which has "committed to building new fuel-efficient cars and engines right here in the United States," Obama said in a speech at the White House.
"Fiat is prepared to transfer its cutting-edge technology to Chrysler," he said.
He gave Fiat and Chrysler 30 days to reach an agreement and said the government will provide Chrysler with "adequate capital" to operate in the meantime.
Later, on Chrysler's website, Chairman and CEO Bob Nardelli said Chrysler and its parent, Cerberus Capital, have "reached agreement on the framework of a global alliance" with Fiat.
Obama spoke as GM Chairman Rick Wagoner resigned at the behest of the White House. Obama said the decision is not "a condemnation" of Wagoner, but rather "a recognition that it will take a new vision and new direction to create the GM of the future."http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2009-03-30-bailout-wagoner_N.htm}

Looks not unlike the Fiat 850 that sold here in the early 70s.
Bigger than a Smart Car but smaller than a vw bug.

(25,183 posts)but that was a great commercial. They usually have at least one every Super Bowl worth talking about the next day at work.

(37,648 posts)I loved them. I didn't see all of them, since I didn't watch the game...just spot checked for score.
The polar bears/Coca Cola....I always love those, and this time didn't disappoint. Clint Eastwood & Detroit...excellent.

(1,977 posts)was a media monitoring company and the Monday after the game was our Black Monday. Well they went bankrupt last August and this year is the first time since 1980 that I don't have to deal with Super Bowl commercial reels or uploads of the ads. Do I miss my job - yeah. Will I miss "Super Bowl Monday" - hell no. The Eastwood ad was great.
Great game - YEAH BIG BLUE!
